Bug description:
since upgrading to Ubuntu 13.10 I've a problem with image-corruption
in firefox.
Symptoms:
1. A loaded image is shown instead of an other loaded image (image is
duplicated / replaced) [see screenshot, the icon in the top-left "Meine Abos -
Youtube" has the Icon of "IT-News ct, iX, ..." and of "Portal > ubuntuusers.de"]
2. A image is corrupted so you can't even recognize what shall be shown
2_1. The image is black either entirely...
2_2. ... or some pixels are repeated over the whole image [see attached
screenshot, the icon in the top-left "Meine Abos - Youtube"]
This happens nearly every time, when the image is scaled down by
firefox. It happens less often when the image is actually in the right
size.
The problem can only be solved by reloading the image (preventing the
cache, i.e. hitting ctrl+f5)
Animated images [gif] are never corrupted.
