seems to be fixed in shotwell 0.11.2 in oneiric. (tested with 40D
files). EOG in oneiric will not render the files at all though.

Binary package hint: eog
EoG, Evince and gnome-raw-thumbnailer display a mirrored image for
some CR2 RAW files. In F-Spot it is displayed correctly (see the
attachment).
I am running the latest Lucid Beta.
Due to the different filetype and because it only happens for some
images, I was not sure if this could be considered a duplicate of
