Title: show notification when software is installed if software center is closed before installation finishes Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: If a user closes the software-center interface while operations are still in progress, a notification should be shown when all operations are completed. However, if the window has not been closed, a notification is not needed and should not be shown. Installing: * single package: Show "[Title]<Package name> has finished installing[body]Launch it from the Application > <Category> menu" with the software-center icon, or possibly the application's icon. I think that the software-center icon would be useful in helping the user understand where the notification is coming from, but the application icon may also be useful. This should be discussed before implementation * multiple packages: Show "[Title]Your software has finished installing" notification with software-center-icon. Removal doesn't really need notifications because once software is removed, you don't need to interact with it so you won't be waiting for any process to complete. See also bug 613996, about notification for tasks completed when the window is in the background.
