Title:
[xrandr]: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in
gtk_widget_destroy()
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Crash occurred twice in Displays of gnome-control-center, after
unchecking "mirror displays" adjusted the dvi gateway lcd and hdmi
infocus projector to 5:4 and 16:10 respectively (unsure of
resolutions) and hit apply, The displays did not get affected,
restarting gnome-control-center and attempting to fuddle with
settings, some of which worked fine including turning off main display
while using projector as primary and mirror displays. When trying to
adjust resolutions of non-mirrored screens this error dialogue
resulted:
The selected configuration for displays could not be applied
GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._gnome_2drr_2derror_2dquark.Code3:
required virtual size does not fit available size: requested=(1794,
2250), minimum=(320, 200), maximum=(1600, 1600)
This appears to have been because my chosen resolutions were too high.
will try again after adjusting available v-ram via bios.
