Same issue here on Ubuntu 13.04. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen tags correctly written in Brasero on any version of Ubuntu I've used.

After supposedly burning successfully, returning to the project shows a loss of all project information (previously read titles and artists are missing), including the CD title. Reading the disc shows a lack of track information. To reproduce: 1) Start a new audio CD project in Brasero. 2) Add any number of audio files (I tested only with mp3s, however). Brasero will read the track information correctly. 3) Burn the CD. 4) Returning to the project, track and CD title information is lost (I am not sure if the information is also lost if the project has been saved previously, though I suspect not). 5) Reading the CD in any drive/computer capable of displaying CD information shows a lack of track information (though at times I have discovered that the CD title remains intact).
