This should be fixed by xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:7.2.0-0ubuntu6,
although I still need to work out an appropriate dependency scheme to
prevent this from happening again.

  steps:
  1. install saucy
  2. sudo apt-get install unity-system-compositor xserver-xorg-video-radeon
  3. reboot

  expected result:
  xmir is running

  actual result:
  x crashes

  additonal info:
  installing the xserver-xorg-video-radeon driver from ppa:mir-team/qa-testing2 
fixes the problem
