Sound randomly stutters. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes to happen sometimes it will happen twice in a 10 second interval. I have version 1.0.25-3ubuntu3 of alsa. I tried the workarounds outlined in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/PositionReporting hence my modified alsa file.
