Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Happens with lucid default kernel 2.6.32-21-generic, need to start
failsafeX there.
Using old karmic default kernel 2.6.31-20-generic, X starts but
refrains using DRI which it did on karmic.
Might be due to kernel module i915?
So, besides the lockup, how to tell the X driver not to disable DRI?
(Also lucid kernel deactivates kernel modesetting for i915.)
