This appears to have worked for me on 12.04 with LibreOffice 2.1 PPA.
Is this still an issue for you on 12.04 or above?

Galaxy theme no longer works in LO 3.4.2

Bug description:
I install the Galaxy theme (the theme used by default on Windows)
because I think it is more clear at the small icon size.
After upgrading to LibreOffice 3.4.2 in Oneric, this theme no longer
works and is not available as a choice in Tools>Options View>Style.
This worked in 3.4.1. All other themes still work (with the obvious
exception of Andromeda/Classic).
