If you can grope around on the launcher and find system settings/display/resolution you can change resolution to restore the screen. Then you change the resolution back. But you have to close libreoffice while the screen is still bad. Isn't this bug similar to Bug #676166? Jason Smith (jassmith) wrote This is caused by the nvidia drivers trashing our textures. We need to redraw them after a suspend.

I can still tell that the windows are there, but nothing is readable. I do manage to re-boot my maching that seems to reset my screen. I have even noticed, that as my machine is closing down, I can start to read it again. I just updated to a new version of LibreOffice with no differences. I have an e-mail with a powerpoint file, and when I open it, my screen goes crazy (distorts) This seems to be happing ever since I upgraded to 12.10. I need my word processor.
