Title:
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS doesn't play A/52 (AC-3) sound in .ts video files

Status in Baltix GNU/Linux:

Bug description:
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS doesn't play A/52 (AC-3) sound in .ts video files -
try for example "The Story of India" video files from
  http://www.torrentino.com/torrents/start_download/61020

File type: MPEG-2 transport stream (video/mp2t)
  Audio: Dolby Digital (AC-3)
  Quality: HDTVRip
  Video: H.264/AVC

Sound is heard only after updating gstreamer packages from ppa
  :gstreamer-developers/ppa (I left gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg package not
updated, original version from Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, so, this is not
ffmpeg bug). Also sound is heard if I play these .ts video files with
  direfury (ex totem-xine) player.

Please fix this bug in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS updates, several my friends
told me, that there is no sound with some DVD's too, AFAIK these DVD's
also use AC-3 (A/52) audio. I can attach non copyrighted sample file
to this bugreport if you need, but it seems this bug is already fixed
in newer gstreamer packages, so, please just backport needed code to
  Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
