With new version of gimp the problem was resolved. I've a test with ubuntu gnome 12.10, Gimp 2.8.6 and Intuos2 tablet. For me this is bug is closed. thanks

Now I've a box with ubuntu 11.04. When you try select a menu with stylus tablet (sometimes also with mouse), the stylus don't select... you need select something out of gimp or the principal bar of gimp and after the focus works. The problem appears when you try select: Save as Preferences ... maybe others situations, but these are more critical.
