Update, same thing happens when trying it from Caja (using the "Connect to Server..." option):
Enter server info without entering username and password and hit connect. It will prompt for keyring password; once entered it will tell you to verify user credentials on the connect to server dialog. If you cancel, and try again, it will succeed without the keyring prompt. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1235034 Title: gvfs-mount doesn't accept creds from keyring Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Trying to use gvfs-mount (in a script) to mount a password protected windows share that has the creds saved in the keyring. It will first bring up the prompt to enter the keyring password; once entered, it will still prompt for creds to the resource. However, cancelling (by CTRL+C) and running the command again does not prompt for creds and succeeds (expected behavior).
