Title:
Netstatus applet reports error on virtual interfaces
Status in GNOME Network Monitor Applet:
Won't Fix
Status in “gnome-netstatus” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
After creating a virtual interface eth0:0 , the Network monitor applet shows
an
error on that interface.
Double-clicking the icon shows the error
"Please contact your system administrator to resolve the following problem:
Could not find information on interface 'eth0:0' in /proc/net/dev"
Which while true, is a useless error message.
Perhaps the netstatus applet should ignore virtual interfaces (those with a
colon in the name?)
