I have the same problem as posted here in previous version to 3.3.1. Using opengl the icon in the bar do no appear until mouse is over.
After updating to version 3.3.1 when I launch cairo-dock from terminal, advanced configure settings are shown. Then if i want to switch to basic mode, it keeps in advanced mode, no way to switch to basic mode. Even the second time I try to switch to basic mode, it exits. Also, cairo- dock bar is not shown. Even worse than versions previous to 3.3.1. I have kernel 3.11.5-1-ARCH x86_64. I have an intel HD4000 lvy-bridge and below intel driver installed: extra/xf86-video-intel 2.21.15-1 (xorg-drivers xorg) Please, fix it as soon as possible. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1180646 Title: cairo-dock rendering issues using openGL backend on intel GPU Status in Mesa: Confirmed Status in “mesa” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: what is this bug ? when i had ubuntu 11.10 , i had a big slow motion that affect even the youtube videos and overall performance . and the error was the opengl, i know that because its version name was missing on 11.10 , any way after upgrade to 12.04 i though the error gone, and it does , my laptop was 10x faster . but i can't run cairo-dock in opengl mode !!!. the ghost came back :( old ubuntu 11.10 bug http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/259/xorg.png/ new ubuntu 12.04 bug (the one i have right now ) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/844/screenshotfrom201305160.png/ my additional drivers pic here before upgrade from ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/8410/delldrivers.png after the upgrade http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/39/screenshotfrom201305160.png/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- i have posted on the cairo-dock forums and they responded that this a common eror on hd 4000 and they sent me that link https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55036 i looked at it and i found """Component:Drivers/DRI/i965""" i have read some on the report uploaded and i feel like i have mix between i915 and i965 ============================================================================================================================================================================ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: xorg 1:7.6+12ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-43.68-generic 3.2.42 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-43-generic x86_64 .tmp.unity.support.test.0: ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.2 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, composite, opengl, compiztoolbox, decor, vpswitch, snap, mousepoll, resize, place, move, wall, grid, regex, imgpng, session, gnomecompat, animation, fade, workarounds, scale, expo, ezoom, dbus] CompositorRunning: None Date: Thu May 16 05:17:18 2013 DistributionChannelDescriptor: # This is a distribution channel descriptor # For more information see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DistributionChannelDescriptor canonical-oem-somerville-oneiric-amd64-20111116-1 DistroCodename: precise DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: No GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation Ivy Bridge Graphics Controller [8086:0166] (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:0569] InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric" - Build amd64 LIVE Binary 20111116-18:24 MachineType: Dell Inc.
