  Symbols file incorrect for compilers supporting LTO

Bug description:
  The configure script detects compilers supporting LTO and passes the -flto 
switch. This results in symbols of the form <>_lto_<>
  These symbols are not present in the current debian symbols files, causing 
the package build to fail
