Public bug reported:
Since I upgraded to ubuntu 13.10, Simple Scan has been rendered unusable. It
hangs for about half a minute every now and then for now obvious reason. First
of all, it always hangs when I try to crop a scanned page and sometimes when a
Page has finished scanning. To conclude, it also hangs upon exit for even more
time (about 2-3 minutes). The whole window goes dark and it accepts no input.
I noticed that, during those hangs, the Hard Disk is also being used - apart
from the Processor.
I am using Ubuntu 13.10 with the latest updates as of today (28.10.2013)
and Simple Scan 3.10.0 on an HP Deskjet 2050A Printer/Scanner...
