I can confirm this. The way it works is terrible, because the shared folder will appear on the network just fine, but then when you try to open it, it just fails without permissions.
Speaking of which, since now we have some breathing room on the DVD, what about including samba and libpam in the CD? I authenticate with my password and after samba installation a new window appears to install libpam-smbpass.
