Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gvfs

Hello, I've implemented support for rar archives. Did some extensive
testing and it mounts 99% of rar archives without any problems.

  Pros:
Supports seeking in uncompressed files, which makes it possible to watch
movies, write to cd, etc.. directly from rar archives.
  Supports compressed files (unrar required)
Supports encrypted files (unrar required). It asks password via gvfs
mechanism.
Supports rar and rar3 split archives (*.rar, *.r00, *.r01, *.part01.rar.. etc)
Supports large files > 4gb for both archives and files inside them.

  Cons:
Seeking not supported in compressed/encrypted files
Does not support archives with fully encrypted headers.

I've submitted this to gnome bugzilla, but unfortunately it did not receive
attention yet.

Would be nice to see this included in ubuntu :)
