Title:
cups usb to parallel prints only once
Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
tested with several printers (fujitsu dl1100, epson stylus color, hp deskjet
500)
tried standard drivers, plain text, and raw printer drivers
command "lp -d text -oraw test.txt" woks only once after every usb
cable reattach. after each print job cups enters a waiting state
until the usb cable is reattached, then it prints the next job
during the waiting state the cups queue gives different kinds
of funny messages like "waiting for printer to be available",
"printing data to the printer", or "printer not available"
Tried all kinds of actions, read forums, system reinstalls,
usblp, etc etc, no way, help very very welcome
if anybody sees this and has found a solution I will be very
grateful and happy to hear from it
