In addition, this was filed against a version of Ubuntu now out of date,
and the sound settings were rewritten between 11.10 -> 12.04. Please
reopen this bug if this is still a problem in the latest version of
Ubuntu. Thanks!

sound settings unmutes internal sound device

Bug description:
When I mute my internal audio, switch to my USB headset, and then
switch back to my internal audio, it is no longer muted. This is
reproducible every time.
Steps to recreate issue:
- Plugin my usb headset
- Click the sound indicator
- Click "Sound Settings"
- Select "input" tab
- Ensure selected device is "Internal Audio Analogue Stereo"
- Ensure the "Input Volume" mute checkbox is checked.
- Click on "ClearChat Pro USB Analogue Mono" device
- Click back on "Internal Audio Analogue Stereo"
- Observe that the "Input Volume" mute checkbox is now checked!
