Bug description:
Binary package hint: evolution
I've been seeing this for the last 3 years, so it's a long standing
bug. Currently I'm reporting with evolution 2.28.3-0ubuntu3 / Lucid
alpha 3.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Copy this email address:
Άλκης Γεωργόπουλος <[email protected]>
2) Start writing a new mail and paste it to the "To:" line.
3) Copy the email address from the "To:" line and paste it to the email body.
You should be seeing:
=?UTF-8?Q?=CE=86=CE=BB=CE=BA=CE=B7=CF=82_?=
=?UTF-8?Q?=CE=93=CE=B5=CF=89=CF=81=CE=B3=CF=8C=CF=80=CE=BF=CF=85=CE=BB?=
=?UTF-8?Q?=CE=BF=CF=82?=
<[email protected]>
which obviously isn't what we want.
So *copying* from the "To:" or "Cc:" fields is broken in evolution for
non-ascii email addresses.
