Title:
no pre-command support for POP (e.g. ssh tunnelling)

Status in The Evolution Mail & Calendaring Tool:
  Won't Fix
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
The one thing that prevents me using evolution is that there's no way
to run a command before initiating a POP connection. In this case, I
want to run an ssh tunnel command to port-forward POP locally to the
remote server. Running it as a seperate command is a bit too grotty a
  solution.

IMAP seems to have this support, but POP doesn't. How odd.
