Title:
Can't Add New Contacts When Offline from MS Exchange Server
Status in The Evolution Mail & Calendaring Tool:
New
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evolution
Whilst using a locally synchronized contacts folder associated with an
MS Exchange Server in off-line mode, I am not able to add new
contacts. I get a message inaccurately saying that I am trying to move
a contact from one address book to another and that it can't be
removed from the source. I am asked whether to copy instead of move.
If I say no, I return to the data entry form ie. nil result. If I say
yes, I get another error message saying; "Error Adding Contact.
Repository offline". Either way, the contact cannot be saved. If I
resume online mode, the contact can be saved.
0) The package is Evolution 2.28.3
1) The release of Ubuntu is 10.04.
2) The version of the package is : 2.28.3-0ubuntu9
3) What you expected to happen? I expected the new contact record to be saved
locally, and then added to the MS Exchange files later when online mode was
available.
4) What happened instead: see notes above
