Title:
Evolution + Google Calendar timezone problem
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evolution
I'm using the built-in Google Calendar support and the times for
events are incorrectly being offset for my timezone
(Australia/Brisbane GMT+10:00) even though my timezone is the same on
Google Calendar and my system (Evolution is configured to use the
system timezone, and the greyed out box for a custom timezone lists
Australia/Brisbane). If I hover my mouse over the event in Evolution
both the incorrect and correct time are listed, with the correct time
being labelled as the 'Etc/GMT' timezone. I seem to be able to
temporarily work around this issue by disabling using the system
timezone, change my timezone to UTC and then re-enable using the
system timezone, but restarting evolution messes up the event times
again (probably just a separate bug where enabling the use of the
system timezone doesn't refresh the times).
