Title: Purple screen after bootup for several seconds Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: When I bootup my system and lightm is started, I get a purple screen for several seconds. During that time system is not accepting any keyboard events. After a while (aprox 10 seconds), my wallpaper is shown and events are processed. When I reset lightdm using "sudo service lightdm restart", the screen is shown only for a second. I can reproduce this behavior at least on 12.04 and 12.10. I can reproduce either by nouveau or nVidia driver.
