Title: User not shown if secondary account with same uid exists Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: lightdm hides users where a second user exists with the same userid (but different name and login shell), even if the second user has an invalid shell (/bin/false). Such a situation typically happens if you create a secondary user for sftp login etc. with your uid so he can access your files through sftp. For gdm this works fine. Also, there is no "Other user" option in lightdm to manually workaround this issue. I was locked out of my system after an upgrade to 12.4 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/1064240/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
