Title:
wallpaper fades in from black after login
Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Since lightdm (or the unity-greeter) displays every user's wallpaper
before they log in, it does not make sense if the wallpaper fades in
from black afterwards. This is the case at least for gnome classic
mode (aka fallback mode). What i get is
1) ubuntu boot screen is replaced by ubuntu default wallpaper when lightdm
starts
2) my account and the guest account are the only accounts on my system, my
account is automatically selected and the background image fades to my
wallpaper (unneccessary, it could have displayed my wallpaper right away)
3) i log in
4) screen turns black, then my wallpaper fades in again and the panels etc
are loaded (unneccessary, because my wallpaper had was already there before)
