MATE shows a blank session icon

Bug description:
It's the default blank white circle.
I don't know if MATE has an official icon, I used a simple M inside
the circle as an example (see attached).
Temporary work-around for users:
cd ~/Desktop && wget http://i.imgur.com/UKGnk.png && mv
{UKGnk,custom_mate_badge}.png && sudo cp custom_mate_badge.png
/usr/share/unity-greeter
