Chrome not importing bookmarks from HTML file

Bug description:
Just installed the new 12.04 LTS and Chrome. I had been using Chrome
with 11.10, and want to import my bookmarks that I saved prior to
installing the new Ubuntu version.
I've imported and exported bookmarks from Chrome to an HTML file on
many other occasions, and imported them from an HTML file into Chrome
on other computers, so I know I'm doing it right.
Please help!
