Apologies, I did not know the keyboard accessability was a matter of the
greeter and not lightdm itself. I am not using unity-greeter, because I am
using Lubuntu (13.10).
I should probably close this bug and open a new bug in the lubuntu launchpad
instead.

Title:
Keyboard shortcuts in lightdm
Status in “lightdm-gtk-greeter” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
This is a feature request, but I am filing it as a "bug" because the
rest of the Ubuntu system is more or less accessible through keyb
shortcuts, but lightdm is not.
The feature request is that different menus and functions of lightdm
should be accessible by keyboard shortcuts. The mouse pointer
should not be the only way to access the shutdown menu in lightdm, for
instance.
I would like to be able to configure a keyboard shortcut to bring up
the shutdown menu, and then navigate in it with the keyboard cursor
keys.
Doing some simple things (like accessing menus) with the keyboard can
be far faster than using the mouse, so I think the option to have full
keyboard access would be a very nice feature to have.
Thanks,
