Title:
gnome-keyring-daemon uses a large amount of memory

Status in “gnome-keyring” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-keyring

  $lsb_release -rd
  Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
  Release: 8.10

  $apt-cache policy gnome-keyring
  gnome-keyring:
    Installed: 2.22.3-1
    Candidate: 2.22.3-1
    Version table:
   *** 2.22.3-1 0
          500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  What I expected to happen:

gnome-keyring-daemon uses a reasonable amount of memory and responds
in a reasonable amount of time when applications try to use the
  services

  What happened instead:

the keyring uses 703mb of memory as seen in top:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND

  30645 eric 20 0 892m 703m 2508 S 0 23.4 21:45.53
gnome-keyring-daemon

Evolution prints the following many times to the console when this
occurs, occasionally it seems to block (UI included) until I hit
Control+C to cancel the attempt to read from the keyring and it tries
  again to success.

  ** (evolution:1878): WARNING **: couldn't connect to daemon at
$GNOME_KEYRING_SOCKET: /tmp/keyring-QTX3Rj/socket: No such file or
  directory
