Tomi Pieviläinen, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal, as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

Title:
Radeon driver starts freezing and dies
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Problem began playing a dvd with xbmc on dual screen setup. Everything
was fine, until I moved the mouse trying to get to the playback
controls. Then picture froze and after every few seconds the screens
blinked off and back again, with some temporary graphical glitches.
This persisted until I kill -9:ed xbmc, after which things seemed to
normalize. Trying to open a new window caused the same blink again,
but very slowly the terminal appeared. When the glitches didn't go
away, I tried restarting lightdm, but it only managed to stop, not
start again. However the console was still working.
After a while, "start lightdm" did work again.
