It could be the same bug but it looks different in my particular case, though.
In my case image never shows up and desktop always stays black.
Also when I try to minimize windows the last one stuck on the screen
until some other window pop up.

Black rectangle instead of wallpaper

Bug description:
After update from 13.04 to 13.10 my desktop image disappeared and black
rectangle are shown insted.
Desktop image is displayer under launcher panel, though.
Dash does not open when mouse cursor are over that black rectangle and I
press "Super" key. It does open if I move mouse over one of the panels (without
any clicking).
