Title:
[Dell Latitude E6440] No display on external monitor with HDMI / VGA
on Precise
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
CID: 201306-13688 Dell Latitude
External monitor does not work on Precise
Steps:
1. Install 12.04.1 + update, boot to desktop
2. Insert a HDMI / VGA cable
Expected result:
Mirrored (or extended) desktop should be displayed on external monitor.
Actual result:
Nothing happened with HDMI / VGA cable plugged, the external monitor was not
detected
in "Display" applet, the monitor itself still in idle mode.
I tried to reduce the resolution, but there is only one "1600x900"
option available.
