I would like to add that I have same problem on my HP Envy Notebook, Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz, Ubuntu 13.10. SmPlayer Version: 0.8.3 using Qt 4.8.4 (compiled with Qt 4.8.4).
