Title:
Mouse wheel does not work in gedit

Status in “gedit” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have an LG S1 Express Dual laptop and after upgrading to ubuntu
13.10 the mouse wheel - scroll up and down - does not work anymore
with gedit. It works well with other applications, like system
monitor, libre office, terminal, browser, etc. Also, when I press the
wheel button, text from clipboard is pasted but on a different
location from the current blinking cursor.
