Items created in Main Menu editor do not display in Main Menu editor

Bug description:
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Main menu > Settings > Main Menu
2. Click "New Item"
3. Fill in a name and a command
4. Click Create
Actual behavior: The new menu item appears in the actual main menu,
but not in the "Main Menu" editor. There is no way to edit the newly
created item, and no way to delete it since it is not listed in the
editor.
Expected behavior: The new menu item should appear both in the main
menu, and the "Main Menu" editor.
