Title:
Lightdm does not honour pam_conv on session phase

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I have a custom pam module that handles buth auth and session phases.

On some conditions, it needs to ask user for some information throw
pam_conv mechansim. If the user does not give information, the
  sesssion will be cancelled.

This pam module is working on every pam client (login, gdm, ftp and
others), but lightdm fails to ask user for such a question on session
  phase.

So, the pam module receives a failed response from pam_conv and tells
  lightdm no to open session.

lightdm in this case gets hanged for about a minute. After that, it
restarts asking for user and password.

I think lightdm should honor pam session phase, implementing pam_conv
in a proper way, and better managing a PAM_AUTH_ERR on session.

  Thank you very much.
