I manage to connect the headset.
Actually, the pairing process is not the same in other devices, and has to be
activated by turning on the headset by pushing the "on" button untill the LED
starts flashing white and blue alternately (as said here

So there is no actual bug.

Bug description:
I cannot pair my Philips SHB 9100 headset with ubuntu.
It works well with any phone, but is not seen with ubuntu's bluetooth
assistant, neither hcitool.
"hcitool scan" gives nothing.
I'm able to see and pair other devices such as samsung HM1800
earpiece.
Ubuntu 13.10, bluez 4.101-0ubuntu8b1 running on i386 arch, Lenovo X300
(Broadcom Corp. BCM2045B chip)
