Bug description:
The package texlive-latex-extra is out of date. Take for example the
LaTeX package "glossaries" included in this Ubuntu package, in the
CTAN (http://ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/glossaries) is
version 3.01, the one included with Ubuntu is 2.03!!
In Ubuntu you can check the file /usr/share/texmf-
texlive/tex/latex/glossaries/base/glossaries.sty
My Ubuntu version is 11.10 x86_64
