Blue Boelter, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg <replace-with-bug-number>

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  Choppy scrolling, weird menus

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I'm running Firefox 10.0.2 on my 64-bit 4-core AMD system, with
Thunderbird too. In both Mozilla products, I'm having these problems:

  1) mouse scrolling is rough and uneven, very choppy.

  2) Menus appear in top bar when I hover there, as expected. But when
I click on one, it doesn't drop down, or hesitates, or takes several
clicks, then may fade in and out.

I also have a Windows hard drive in this same machine.

I run the same Firefox and Thunderbird in that environment, and do not
  have these problems.

  What to do?

  Thanks!
