Benjamin Kaiser, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg <replace-with-bug-number> Thank you for your understanding. I have been getting a situation where during normal use of different application, can be nautilus, sublime text 2, chrome, etc and the computer stops for a second then there is a black screen before I get send back to the login screen. The log reported in syslog at the time of the crash is: Sep 10 12:19:52 benkaiser-MacBook gnome-session[1654]: Gdk-WARNING: gnome-session: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.#012 I thought that the proprietary nVidia drivers from their website may have been causing the problem so I switched back to the version- current-updates one in the additional drivers.
