Writer and Calc take a very long time to load documents

Bug description:
Binary package hint: libreoffice
When opening documents (From the "File" menu), in Writer it takes
approx 14-15 seconds to open and will frequently dim the window. Calc
also takes 15 secs to open documents with the same dimming affect. In
Windows, with the same files, I was able to open them in 3-4 seconds.
I ran the same tests in Maverick, and I opened the documents in 4-5
seconds.
The lag seems to be in Natty.
