flusi100, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Thank you for your understanding. Helpful bug reporting tips: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1213236 Title: Problems with Touchpad and Keybord on some bootups Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I run 12.04 on a macbook air 5,2. Occasionally (50%) my touchpad is not working prior and after login. The keyboard shows behaviour like described in bug #1029203. A mouse attached via usb works without problems. A workaround is to switch to another console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) and immediately back (Ctrl+Alt+F7). This solution was mentioned regarding trackpad problems on HP notebooks. I hope the automatically generated bug-report contains all necessary information. I will deliver more details when required.
