Hello Christopher,

since updating to Ubuntu 13.10, the bug is not anymore easily
reproducible and happens much less. However, sometimes it does.
Currently I am not unfortunately very keen on changing to development
release.

At the time of reporting the bios was not outdated, but there seems to
be couple releases since. I can update the bios.

Ari

Title:
  Xorg freeze

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have automatic login set to user A. After that, also user B logs in. Both
are logged in.
If I choose log-out from either one, the login screen is shown. Let's say "A"
has now logged out.
Now, when I try to login user 'B' in the login screen, the sequence to login
starts (I assume) but after a few seconds the monitor reports that there is no
signal. Then, I need to do a hard reboot.
This happens everytime I try it, regardless of which user logs out.

However, for some reason, in the login screen, CTRL-ALT-F7 (or F8)
switches/logins to the correct user fine.
