ComputerJy, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
X server is causing applets to crash

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I've just added a new screen to my system. I have an NVidia graphics adapter.
I tried adjusting the settings from the NVidia settings manager to use
separate screens. It required to restart X. so I did, actually I restarted the
whole computer at a point. But whenever I login I keep getting tons of
"Starting File Manager" in the window list applet. Also the Xorg process is
hogging at least %80 of my CPU.

There is no way so far to stop this, except for getting back to the
  twin-view mode
