Title:
Keyboard indicator sometimes changes displayed language after huge
  delay after actual layout switch

Status in “indicator-keyboard” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Sometimes, especially under load, keyboard indicator changes its
appearance (two-character language code) after a huge delay after
layout is switched with hotkey. Sometimes about 10 seconds, and while
load is not hard enough to make system unusable.

Even under normal conditions it changes after about 0.5 seconds (which
  is acceptable though).
