Tried installing the above and the system crashed completely. Icouldn't even load nautilus. Tried ctrl-alt-f1 followed by nautilus command with no luck this time. Tried ctrl-alt-f7 followed by ctrl-alt-t but no terminal. Rebooted and tried recovery options but was unanable to access the internet this time just kept getting error messages. Tried to reinstall keeping the programs i'd installed but this failed also and still no internet. I managed to get a very low res gui but no mouse or touchpad and no ninternet. I've reloaded ubuntu alongside the original installation so i can contact you. I tried to copy the log files from the firsrt installation but got the message i didn't have sufficient rights to access them. Maybe you can help me to do so. Also not able to download python-apport to be able to send info due to lack of internet which i access with 3 mobile. I've been using freecad for some time now and i've never had this problem before. Hope you can help me.
