igi, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given you already have done this in a prior release, performing this on a release prior to Trusty would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. It means the light is on if NumLock is disabled, and vice-versa. After the login, the LED status is automatically corrected. Hint: my system is set to start with NumLock function enabled (with numlockx). --- Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) MachineType: System manufacturer System Product Name Package: xorg-server (not installed) ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-22-generic-pae root=UUID=2db10ee0-09cb-41dc-b9e6-abae0e229f46 ro quiet splash ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=it_IT.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.35-generic-pae 2.6.35.4 Tags: maverick maverick Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic-pae i686 UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare dmi.bios.date: 03/20/2006 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 0801 dmi.board.name: P5GPL dmi.board.vendor: ASUSTeK Computer INC. dmi.board.version: Rev 1.xx dmi.chassis.asset.tag: Asset-1234567890 dmi.chassis.type: 3 dmi.chassis.vendor: Chassis Manufacture dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr0801:bd03/20/2006:svnSystemmanufacturer:pnSystemProductName:pvrSystemVersion:rvnASUSTeKComputerINC.:rnP5GPL:rvrRev1.xx:cvnChassisManufacture:ct3:cvrChassisVersion: dmi.product.name: System Product Name dmi.product.version: System Version dmi.sys.vendor: System manufacturer glxinfo: Error: [Errno 2] Nessun file o directory system: distro: Ubuntu codename: maverick architecture: i686 kernel: 2.6.35-22-generic-pae To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/632759/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
